How to add stars to the rotating planet in Adobe After Effects

Today, I will show you how to add stars to the rotating planet, from our earlier tutorial in Adobe After Effects.

First you need to add a new solid, so go to Layer and click on new, and then solid.

IN the new popup window, you can change the solid settings, so make sure you click on, Make Comp Size and change the color to white, by clicking on the color swatch, and change the color to white. Click OK when you are done.

Make sure that the solid layer is beneath the planet layer, so move it, if its not already below it.

Now you need to open up the effects and presets window and search for Star burst.

With the white solid still selected, double click on CC Star Burst, to change the white solid into stars.

Now you can change the settings from the starburst to get the result you want.

So you can change the scatter, to increase or decrease the number of stars, Change the speed of the stars, the grid spacing to change the distance between the stars, and the size of the stars.

Thats all there is to it, so try out different settings to get a cool result.
